This Privacy Policy explains what information Vient collects when you visit vient.org, how that information is used, and the choices you have. Vient is the independent software studio of Caden Sorenson, based in Logan, Utah.
Information collected automatically
This site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the standard request data needed to serve and protect the site, including your IP address, browser type (user agent), and the page or link that referred you. This data is used to deliver pages, keep the site available, and block abuse. It is not used to build an advertising profile of you.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people visit and how the
site is used. Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga to tell one visit
apart from another. Analytics here is deliberately privacy-light: IP addresses are
anonymized, and Google advertising signals and ad personalization are turned off, so
your data is not used for advertising or profiling.
Global Privacy Control is honored automatically. If your browser sends a GPC signal, Google Analytics is never loaded on this site and no analytics cookies are set. You can also install Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit.
Information you give us
If you use the contact form or email us directly, you decide what to share. That is typically your name, email address, and a description of your project. The contact form runs a Cloudflare Turnstile bot check and then delivers your message to us by email. We use this information only to reply to you and to discuss potential work. We do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies
When analytics is enabled, the Google Analytics cookies described above (for example _ga) are the only cookies this site sets. None of them are advertising
cookies, and the site runs no cross-site tracking.
Your light or dark theme preference is saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is a convenience setting, it stays in your browser, and it is never sent to us.
Your choices and rights
We do not sell your personal information. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have shared with us. Email the address below and we will respond.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for advertising. Vient does not share personal information for advertising, and Global Privacy Control is honored automatically, so no action is needed to opt out here.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page.
